Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is likely to release the date sheet for the class 10 and class 12 this week. As per the reports shared by the CBSE, the date sheet would be released within this week. There is added interest in the board examinations this year as it returns for class 10 students. The external board examinations were discontinued in 2009 by CBSE for class 10 and Comprehensive Continuous Evaluation or CCE was introduced. As anxiety increases, Expert expect the papers for class 10 to be easy this year and well placed.
After almost 8 years, the board examination are returning causing parents and students to be worried. Teachers across the country are sharing tips and experiences with students to help them be more comfortable with the idea. But most of the CBSE Expert, we spoke with are confident that the date sheet for class 10 board examination would be well spaced, giving students enough prep time in between the examinations. The first paper is expected to be of computer or Information Practices while Mathematics is expected to be a close second. These reports are only tentative and date sheet is expected to be released by end of this week. While many might think that the return of the boards only entails the return of external examination, the truth is very different. The CCE pattern divided the curriculum into two halves and at the end of the academic year, a student was simply required to prepare half the syllabus. The returning board examinations bring back the exams of the full syllabus from class 10.
