Take a scale of 1 unit length = 20 thousand.

Bar graph of the given information is as below. a) The total number of people from age group 15 to 44 is 5 lakh 60 thousand.
Total = (age 15 – 29) + (age 30 – 44)
= 320000 + 240000
= 560000
b) There are 2 lakh 40 thousand senior citizens in the city.
Total = 160000 + 80000
= 240000
