Volume of a Cuboid – Formula and Solved Examples

Volume of Cuboid

A cuboid has a three-dimensional shape, which has a length(l), depth(b), and height(h).

Cuboid solid

The multiplication of the length(l), depth(b), and height(h) are called the volume of a cuboid.

Volume of Cuboid

volume of a cuboid = l x b x h

The volume of Cuboid Examples

Example 1: Find the volume of a block of wood whose length, breadth, and height are 10 cm, 5 cm, and 3 cm

The volume of the block of wood =  Volume of Cuboid

=  l x b x h

= 10 x 5 x 3 = 150 cm3

Thus, the volume of the block of wood is 150 cm3

Example 1: Find the volume of a box, breadth, and height are 20 m, 6 m, and 2 m.

The volume of a box =  Volume of Cuboid

=  l x b x h

= 20 x 6 x 2 = 240 m3
